What did I smile about in November!

The festive season has begun and it was another busy but fun month.

Happy Birthday Mum and Happy 30th Birthday to my baby Brother! As my mum says she received the best birthday present 30 years ago - my brother who was born on her birthday. We weren't there in person with either of them but had a chance to celebrate it late with Dhaval in Toronto over thanksgiving break.
Texas Motor Speedway - Our friends had extra tickets to the truck race that made news headlines in Racing community and we were there to witness it. It was our first time there and let me tell you we stood out. We were probably the only Asian people there ha! It was loads of fun nevertheless.
Movember begins - This is the first year Amit participated in Movember and even though I dislike the 'stache it was for a good cause and I want to thank all those that donated to the cause. I wont lie I did get some good laughs this month looking at some funny stache's.
Chicago for the fourth time this year - Made another trip to St Charles and it was my last trip there for the year and hopefully for a while. Accenture revealed its new advertising campaign while we were there. This is us flashing our version of the campaign.
Arrangements - Cindy visited us for a few days and while she was here she made us these beautiful arrangements just in time for the festive season.
Happy Birthday to my dearest Hubby! - We spent his actual birthday traveling but we made up for it by celebrating and enjoying a few days off in Toronto.
CN tower - Amit and I have been to Toronto several times but haven't been up the CN tower. We lucked out and caught a beautiful clear day to enjoy the views. Dhaval managed to get a day off and joined us as well.

Steam Whistle - right across from the CN tower is the Steam Whistle brewery. The boys enjoyed chilled beers while I played with the new camera app on my iPhone.
Family and Friends - We have so many friends and family members in Canada; I am not kidding when I say I need at least a week in Toronto to make sure I get to meet everyone. We missed a few people but here are some of the special people we did get to see.
End of an era Texas vs A&M! - As you all know I am a huge Longhorn fan and this year our conference rivals decided to leave the Big 12 to join the SEC conference. We played our last game against A&M (for now) and won. Marti made a bet with Steve and ended up having to wear the longhorn jersey to work since they lost to us. I am sad we dont get to continue this tradition and hoping they figure out a way to still play us so we can keep the rivalry.

What did I smile about in October!

I find myself saying this everyone month but this was one hectic month for sure. The weather has finally cooled off and we are enjoying the fall (the short one we get in Texas). The bright side is lower electricity bills and no more 100 degree days phew!

Aval's birthday continues - Aval's 30th Birthday celebrations continued into the first weekend in October. I didnt get any good pictures with him in them but here are a few others.
iPhone 4S - I have finally upgraded from my iPhone 3G and I don't know how I survived this long with my old one. I love the new phone and its sooooooo much faster. The best part is now I can facetime with my parents as they have the ipad and I love SIRI.
St Charles again - This was my third trip back there this year and boy we had too much fun. Can you tell.
Guess who has a new car - We met up with Barbie after a very long time and guess what she has a new car. She has waited for this for a while and I am so happy for her.
Bring on the double wide trailer : Lubbock, Texas - I got to go to Lubbock on a recruiting trip and I kid my Raider friends but seriously this was where we conducted the interviews while we wait for the new business building to be built.
Rangers in the world series again - I am not the biggest baseball fan but am all about supporting the Rangers when they get to the playoffs. They made it to the World Series game again this year! GO RANGERS
Hook Em!: Austin, Texas - Part of the craziness this month was the second recruiting trip but this one was to UT Austin (the best university *big grin*). It was so nice to be back on campus and this brought back some very sweet memories.
Happy Diwali and Saal Mubarak - This is the first Diwali that Amit and I didnt spend together in the last 10+ years. I was in Austin and he was in Dallas. We had a last minute potluck celebration in Austin and I got to spend it with some close friends and this little handsome hunk. Look at those cheeks cutie! Hope you all had a great one and wish you all the best for the coming year!
Howdy : College station, Texas - And finally the last leg of my recruiting trip was to A&M. I had great hosts who showed us a good time and all I can say is good bye Aggies. Good luck in the SEC and get used to losing a lot more.
Austin again - Back to Austin again! Amit drove down on Friday and we spent the weekend with our friends. Thanks Faiza and Mehlam for letting us crash at your place. We also managed to score some really good seats last minute and joined Ritu and Sahir for the UT game vs Kansas. Go Horns Go!!!
