What did I smile about in June!

We are half way through the year and it was another fun month. The temperatures are rising in Texas but good thing we were out of here for over a week.

Pinterest inspired - Yes my obsession with pinterest continues. I got a chance to try this diaper motorcycle for Faiza's baby shower. The shower wasn't till later in the month but with our upcoming vacation I wanted to get it done before we left.
Guess what finally arrived - we ordered this spirits cabinet sometime in April and it finally arrived. I love how clean and simple it looks.
Family reunion - we started the month traveling to London to visit Amit's family for his cousins wedding. This was the first time I got to spend time with his extended family. It was so nice to see everyone - especially the little kiddo's. Here are some pictures from the pre wedding festivities and night out with the cousins.
Wedding - This little cousin is all grown up and doesnt she look absolutely gorgeous. Sajal and Bhavik looked so good on their wedding day and she was all smiles which made the camera man's job very easy.
Santorini - After the wedding festivities Amit and I headed to Santorini for some rest and relaxation. I absolutely LOVE this island. The people are so friendly and we had the perfect vacation. It was relaxing and fun at the same time.
*Fira - the capital of Santorini and one of the busiest towns with lots of little shops and restaurants. We stayed in this village at the Aria Suites. If you ever visit Santorini and want a great place to stay in Fira you should definitely consider them. The staff was wonderful and made us feel at home.
*Red Beach - one of the most famous beaches in Santorini because of the Volcanic red and black rocks behind it. It was a little hike to get down and back up but it was worth it.
*Perissa/Perivolos - the next stop was to the black sand beaches. Amit enjoyed the water at all of them it was a little too cold for me.
*Kamari - another beach town where I found the most amazing lava candles. This was my favorite beach with lots of cute restaurants and shopping around.
*Oia - the most beautiful village in Santorini according to me. The next time we visit we are definitely staying there. We got to see some beautiful sunsets from here.
Mykonos - our second stop was to the party island. We spent a lot of time at the different beaches here. We took the ferry to Mykonos and it happened to be one of the windiest weekends in Mykonos. Lucky for us we flew out of Mykonos as all the ferry's were cancelled due to the crazy winds. The plane ride to Athens was only 20 minutes but that was one of the bumpiest flights I have been on thanks to the winds. We stayed in Ornos which was close to most beaches - since we only had two days there we ended up renting a car. The best decision since it was hot and windy.
Faiza's baby shower - the weekend after we got back we drove to Austin to celebrate Baby B's baby shower. Dont miss the picture of our clean up crew at the very bottom ha! Thanks boys for helping us set up and clean up.
Gayathri's baby shower - two weekends in a row to Austin was rough but we were there again this time to celebrate Baby D's baby shower.
