What did I smile about in September!

The summer is over and the fall festivities begin. This is one of my favorite times of the year and September kicked off with Navratri! The girls are growing up quickly and are becoming little sassy ladies. They are so much fun to play with and talk to. Hope you all have a fun fall and enjoy our stories.

Zain's visit - We finally got to spend a fun weekend with the Austin trio in Dallas. The kids had so much fun together at the library in the NorthPark mall and also running around the water fountains. Times have changed and its all about the kids but so much fun to watch them playing together.
Not red but pink mum! - A&A have preferences and opinions now. I got the girls ready to head out one evening and little Miss Aariya told me she wanted to wear a pink hair clip and not the red one. You can imagine my reaction since it didn't match her outfit. But I gave in and let her be creative with her hair clip.
UT game - The longhorns were playing in Dallas at the ATT stadium and we decided last minute to go watch it live with the girls. It was their first game and I wasn't sure how they would do with all the noise. But they had a blast - cheering on the team and enjoying the crowd. Too bad we lost the game but this season hasn't been a great one so our expectations were not very high.
Bff Aditi - We started face time with Ads once she started school at NYU and now the girls are obsessed with her and when ever I pull out the IPad they want to talk to only her.
Arjun's birthday - We managed to get to Houston for Arjun's birthday and the girls had a blast playing in the bounce house and coming down the slide. It was their first time and as the party progressed that's all they wanted to do. They even got their hands painted and loved showing it off to everyone.
Shadows - The girls discovered their shadow's this weekend in Houston. Amit and I took them out for an early morning walk and they were so cute noticing their little shadow friends.
Waterfun - Kaushal and Priya's Houston apartment complex has a splash park and even though we didn't go prepared to swim we had to run around and take a dip before heading back to Dallas. Thanks Kaushal Kaka for running us through the fountains.
Navratri - The festivities have began! Took the girls for a children's garba with my friend Sunita one weekend. They loved just running around and bouncing to the music. Dancing is definitely one of their favorite things to do. Of course I had a blast getting them dressed with the new Indian outfits we got for this year.
Saachis birthday - We were so excited to celebrate Saachi's birthday at the fields. We mastered the slides at her party and couldn't stop just going up and coming down the entire time we were there.
Aval birthday - Happy Birthday Kaka. We didn't get to celebrate with him on the actual day but we wish him all the best for the year.
